South Dakota Governor Larry Rhoden brought his Open for Opportunity Tour to Mobridge on Thursday, June 5th. Rhoden was at the Great Plains Restaurant to visit with residents about their concerns, and to take comments and questions.
Governor Rhoden talked about what it was like to move from being Lt. Governor to Governor right in the middle of this year’s South Dakota legislative session.
Many residents asked questions about a wide range of issues, including beach improvements, lake elevation at the docks, education, tax incentives for businesses coming to South Dakota, sales tax charged by Amazon, and property taxes.
