Members of the Mobridge City Council were using their new ipads during Wednesday’s (June 11th) city council meeting. The ipads were purchased in an effort to save paper and printer usage.
Water & Sewer Dept.
For the Water & Sewer Department, the council approved:
- a pay request to Preload, LLC for the water tank and main project in the amount of $285,959.70;
- a pay request to Crow River Construction for the water line project in the amount of $139,601.25;
- and a pay request to Muth Electric for the water treatment plant project in the amount $156,987.00.
Police Dept.
Step increases were approved for Officer Ramiro Romero and Dispatcher Mark Kaiser in the Police Department.
Finance Depart.
A public hearing was held and approval was given for a temporary liquor permit for Mobridge Rodeo Incorporated for the Sitting Bull Stampede Rodeo and Dance July 1st through the 4th.
A public hearing was held and approval given for a retail on/off sale malt beverage and South Dakota Farm Wine license for JOU Enterprises, LLC, doing business as Oink Pizza.
The return of a $500.00 deposit for moving a building was approved.
Council gave approval to new hire Tristan Sippert as a part time mower.
Council also approved an offer of $8,000.00 from the Town of Pollock for the current street sweeper declared surplus property.
The meeting wrapped up with Greg Mix of the Mobridge Senior Center thanking the City for continued support.
