Finally! The Twins have been hurting for a win for what seems like a month, even though it’s only been about a week. But these losing streaks always feel like they drag out much longer than they actually do. The Twins took out some anger on the Reds yesterday afternoon spreading out the runs over the entirety of the game and winning 12-5 as you can see from the box score below.

Byron Buxton got it started for the Twins early with a 432-foot homerun shot to get the Twins on the board. But Byron wasn’t done yet, he would go deep again in the very next inning as the Twins started laying it on. Ryan Jeffers also got in on the homerun fun as he went deep in the eighth inning to add some insurance for the Twins, but the Twins certainly exercised some demons to close out the series with the Reds yesterday.
Minnesota moved back to .500 on the season with the win (37-37) and still sits 10 games back of the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central. The Twins will be back in Minnesota tonight as they start a series with the Milwaukee Brewers at 7:10 CT on KGFX 1060 AM and 103.1 FM in the Pierre area.
