Weather permitting, Pierre will begin work on a section of N. Spruce Avenue Monday (June 23, 2025).
The work will take place on N. Spruce between E. Capitol Avenue and Hemlock Avenue. While most of the work will focus on the street itself, the intersection at Hemlock will be impacted for a short period of time.
The city maintains more than 80 miles of streets. During this construction season, the city is repairing, rebuilding, or otherwise improving about 180 blocks of streets.
