The annual Niobrara Convocation begins Thursday (June 26-29, 2025) and runs through Sunday morning in Eagle Butte.
The Niobrara Convocation is the regular gathering of Lakota/Dakota/Nakota Episcopalians of what was the Niobrara Missionary District, including parts or all of what are now North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska. The annual gathering has become a time for friends and relatives to get together in the summer for conversation, fellowship, food and prayer.
The Cheyenne River Episcopal Mission is hosting this year’s convocation at the Lakota Cultural Center along Highway 212. All are welcome.
