The Oahe Zap offense has been rolling over the last few days, scoring a combined 47 runs in their last four games, and winning all of them. They broke through the double-digit mark again last night while beating Plainsmen Baseball 12-8 for their fourth straight win. Plainsmen hit a few long balls, but the Zap did it with small ball stealing bases and staying aggressive on the basepaths. It’s no secret the Zap are playing their best baseball as of late as they begin to make a postseason charge, and they will look to sweep Plainsmen tonight at Hyde Stadium.
But tonight’s game is big for different reasons, it is Pierre Wildcat night at the ballpark in support of Special Olympics South Dakota. There will be a dunk tank, games to be played, Special Olympics athletes throwing out the first pitch, and so much more. If there was one Zap game you need to get to, tonight is the night! First pitch will be at 6:05, but the Wildcats will be able to get there early to take batting practice and hang out with the team. You can buy tickets at OaheZap.com or at the box office. If you cannot make it to tonight’s game, you can tune in on River 92.7 & DRGnews.com/river.
