The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host a Region Roundup Aug. 5, 2025, at 5:30pm at Bob’s Steakhouse near Gettysburg. SDCA Northern Region Directors Troy Hadrick and Bryan Gill welcome South Dakota State University (SDSU) Extension for a hands-on demonstration focused on the benefits of electronic identification (EID) in livestock management. Attendees will get a close-up look at the technology behind the EID tags, including the wand, scale head, and various tag styles.
The Region Roundup is open to both the public and SDCA members.

The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host the Pierre Region Roundup Tuesday (July 22, 2025) at Richie Z’s Brickhouse BBQ in Pierre. This free event kicks off at 5:30 PM with good food and conversation, followed by an open forum with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s Ethan Lane and Tanner Beymer. They’ll provide updates on industry topics and their work in Washington D.C. on behalf of America’s cattle producers.
The Region Roundup is open to both the public and SDCA members.

July 15, 2025:
The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Association (SDCA) will host the Mitchell Region Roundup on July 16 at Palace City Brewery in Mitchell, South Dakota. The Region Roundup is open to both the public and SDCA members.
The Mitchell Region Roundup will begin with a social starting at 5:30 PM, followed by a meal and programming. The SDCA’s Southeast Region Directors, Austin Havlik and Colby Olson, along with SDCA’s Vice President of Membership, Calli Williams, welcome Scott Varilek with Kooima Kooima Varilek Trading, who has provided risk management to agricultural producers for over forty years.
The Mitchell Region Roundup will be followed by live music by Karter Kenis.
