Learn all about Toad of Toad Hall and his “crazes” this weekend (July 18-20, 2025) as the Pierre Players’ Little Players present “Mr. Toad’s Mad Adventures” at the Grand Opera House in Pierre.
Mr. Toad’s latest craze involves motorcars. He steals one and takes it for a wild ride, which naturally gets him into trouble. His friends Badger, Rat and Mole do their best to help, but their efforts aren’t enough, and Toad ends up in prison. He eventually gets out and the hilarious shenanigans continue from there.
Performances are:
-
Friday, July 18 at 7 p.m. CDT
-
Saturday, July 19 at 7 p.m. CDT
-
Sunday, July 20, at 2 p.m. CDT.

Refreshments from the Wild Woods and Beyond will be available for purchase at Toad Hall Lemonade Stand at $2 per 12-once cup and $1 for refills.
“Mr. Toad’s Mad Adventures” is based on Kenneth Grahame’s “Wind in the Willows” and adapted by Vera Morris.
