It was not exactly the start the Twins were looking for to kick off the second half of the season. Minnesota went on the road to take on a struggling Colorado Rockies squad and dropped the first two games, Friday 6-4 and Saturday 10-6, but won yesterday 7-1. The Twins fed off a few homeruns, including two from Royce Lewis to help propel them to the Sunday win, but the series loss drops them to third in the AL Central, now 11.5 games out of first place behind the second place Cleveland Guardians and the first place Detroit Tigers.
The Twins, now 48-51, will face one of their toughest tests of the season going on the road to take on the Los Angeles Dodgers and will start the series tonight with David Festa facing off with Shohei Ohtani at 9:10 PM CT. You can listen to the game tonight on KGFX 1060 AM and 103.1 FM in the Pierre area.
