A 19 year old man from Mitchell is charged with Sexual Contact with a Minor Under 16 after an incident in Pierre over the weekend.
According to the Pierre Police Department, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday (July 26, 2025), a patrol officer was dispatched to the 900 Block of W. Sioux Ave. in Pierre for a report of a sexual assault. The investigation showed that a 15-year-old female was in the swimming pool when she was inappropriately touched multiple times by Jonathan Voeltz of Mitchell.
Voeltz was arrested and taken to the Hughes County Jail. Sexual Contact with a Minor Under 16 is a Class 1 misdemeanor.
