BRANDON — Hall of Fame Day is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16 during the 2025 South Dakota State Amateur Baseball Tournament. All SDABA Hall of Famers are invited to attend the game and be recognized during the day. The two Class B semifinal games are scheduled for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. Between the two Class B semifinals, the 2025 SDABA Hall of Fame Class will be honored, The class includes former players Doug Schooley of Watertown, Freddy Ellis of Mitchell, Nate Henry of Dell Rapids, Lee Heimes of Wynot (NE) and the late Mike Hiltunen of Volga. In addition, South Dakota Umpires Association Hall of fame inductee Brad Peters of Hartford and honorary inductee Dr. Tom Stotz of Yankton will be recognized. The 2025 SDABA Hall of Fame banquet is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 2 in the new City Hall at Salem. The event begins with a social at 4 p.m., dinner at 5 p.m. and then the ceremony.
