The hat and bat honor the revered tradition of Dakota floral, or Yuhaha – a visual representation of the relationship that our ancestors built with the land and, specifically, plants. Inspired by the thread of Yuhaha through generations of Dakota art, Shalene’s work beautifully connects baseball, the Twins and Target Field to Minnesota’s indigenous roots.
