The Watertown School District is preparing to officially open the new Allen Mitchell Athletic Complex with a public open house on Friday, August 22. The open house coincides with “Meet the Arrows” volleyball team at 6:00 p.m. in the arena and “Meet the Arrows” football team at 7:30 p.m. in the stadium. In other school district news, the fall in-service for teachers is scheduled for August 13, 14, and 19. Pre-parent teacher conferences will take place on August 18 from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The first day of school for students is Thursday, August 21. Dr. Danielsen also announced that the Watertown School District is a supporting partner for the Community Safe Committee’s suicide prevention walk, which is scheduled for Saturday, September 13.
