The new school year begins Tuesday (Aug. 19, 2025) for students in the Pierre Public School District.
Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt says being in class on the very first day helps set the tone for a student’s entire year.
Glodt is “unbelievably impressed” with the district’s new teachers.
Glodt says in-service for the entire staff is Friday morning.
