The first day of classes for the new school year for students in the Stanley County Public School District is next week (Aug. 25, 2025), but the staff is at the school for a three-day in-service this week (Aug. 19-21).
Superintendent Dan Baldwin says all of the teaching positions are filled.
Baldwin says it’s important for students to be in school on the first day of class.
Schools provide some of the first social settings students spend a large amount of time in, so Baldwin encourages parents and guardians to chat with their students about being kind to others.
A new school year typically includes some new things and this year, Baldwin says, among the new things is the new football field and track.
