A 60-year-old Sioux Falls man has been arrested on five counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
William Michael Tillman was arrested Tuesday (Aug. 26, 2025) by the South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) after an investigation by the state’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC). A field test conducted by DCI indicated the controlled substance was methamphetamine. The substance also will be lab tested.
Maximum sentences are 10 years in prison with a one-year mandatory minimum on each of the child possession charges and five years in prison on the possession of a controlled substance charge.
Law Enforcement agencies involved were DCI, Sioux Falls Police Department, and Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office. The Minnehaha County State’s Attorney is prosecuting the case.
A bond hearing was held Wednesday afternoon for the defendant. He is presumed innocent under the U.S. Constitution.
