Mobridge-Pollock School Board Chairman Eric Stroeder was re-elected to the Associated School Boards of South Dakota Board of Directors.
ASBSD’s Second Vice President serves an integral role on the Association’s Executive Committee, which comprises the leadership team of the 18-member Board of Directors.
Stroeder represents the Central Region’s member districts in the 266-699 enrollment category and has served on the state association board since 2012 during which time he has been ASBSD President in 2015-16 and 2020-22.
Stroeder is in his 15th year on his local board, which has included multiple as President and Vice President while also being the board’s representative for ASBSD’s Legislative Action Network and Delegate for Delegate Assembly multiple times. He also sits on the National School Board Association Board of Directors. Stroeder is a Civil Engineer with the State of South Dakota.
“Eric’s experience, intelligence and passion make him an absolutely invaluable leader,” ASBSD Executive Director Heath Larson said. “He’s dedicated innumerable hours to public education, locally, at the state level and nationally and we’re thankful he continues to serve.”
ASBSD is a private, non-profit association representing more than 850 South Dakota school board members, the 147 school districts they govern and the students they serve. The 18-member ASBSD Board of Directors is made up of local school board members elected from four geographic regions (Central, Northeast, Southeast and Western) and five enrollment size categories (265 and Under, 266-699, 700-1,399, 1,400-9,999 and 10,000 and Above).
