Sept. 12, 2025:
Today (Sept. 12, 2025) is the last day of Homecoming Week for the Stanley County School District.
High School Social Studies Teacher & Activities Director Keely Bracelin says students, staff and community members can all participate in Friday’s activities.
For those who want to keep track of Stanley County School District activities throughout the year, Bracelin says there are a few easy ways to do it.
Again, Stanley County’s Homecoming concludes with the Buffaloes vs. Redfield Pheasants football game at Ole Williamson Field in Fort Pierre. DRG Media Group Sports Director Justin Cowart will have that game for you on KGFX and video streaming on the KGFX page at www.DRGnews.com.
Sept. 9, 2025:
The Stanley County School District in Fort Pierre held Homecoming Coronation activities Monday night (Sept. 8, 2025).
The 2025 Stanley County High School Homecoming Queen is Breckyn Huebner and the King is Coy Ludemann. The two will preside over Buffalo Homecoming festivities for the rest of the week.
The rest of the Royal Court includes Landon Bame, Paxton Deal, Braidon Larsen, Emily Nemec, Brianna Sargent and Londyn Allen-Hunsaker. The 2nd grade crown bearers were Ella Meyers and Renley McMurtry.
Lineup for the Homecoming Parade begins at 2pm CT Friday. Participants should enter the lineup via Seventh Avenue from the highway, turn right on Missouri Avenue, and proceed to 5th Street. Please avoid entering from 5th or 6th Streets due to congestion and safety concerns.
The parade will start at 2:30pm.
Homecoming concludes with the Stanley County Buffaloes vs. Redfield Pheasants football game at Ole Williamson Field in Fort Pierre. DRG Media Group Sports Director Justin Cowart will have that game for you on KGFX and streaming on DRGnews.com/KGFX.

Activities schedule:
- Sunday, Sept. 7 at 3pm CT— Street Painting kicks off the festivities. All Stanley County families are invited to join in the creative fun.
- Monday, Sept. 8 at 7pm CT— Coronation in Parkview Auditorium. Following the ceremony and letter burning, the SC Booster Club will serve cookies and lemonade.

- 3rd & 10th – Yellow
- 4th & 12th – Blue
- 5th & 11th – Teal
- Wednesday – “Hawaiian Day”: Wear your best tropical prints.
- Thursday – “Patriotic Day”: Show your red, white and blue pride.
- Friday – “Spirit Day”: Wear purple and gold to support the Buffaloes.
