The 10 producers who registered the most Angus cattle in the state of South Dakota during fiscal year 2025, which ended Sept. 30, recorded a total of 7343 head.
The 10 top registered Angus recorders in South Dakota are (those in bold are located in the central part of the state):
- Jorgensen Ranches, Ideal;
- Edgar Bros, Rockham;
- Pine Creek Angus Ranch, Faith;
- Hart Angus Farms, Frederick;
- Raven Angus, Colome;
- Mick & Lynn Varilek, Geddes;
- Frederickson Ranch, Spearfish;
- Lindskov’s LT Ranch, Isabel;
- Mogck & Sons, Olivet; and
- Thomas Ranch, Harrold.
American Angus Association® Chief Executive Officer Mark McCully says across the nation in 2025, Association members registered 309,926 head of Angus cattle. Along with its extensive breed registry, he says the Association also provides programs and services to farmers, ranchers and others who rely on Angus to produce quality genetics for the beef industry and quality beef for consumers.
