The Mobridge City Council held a regular meeting on Wednesday night.
A representative of KLJ Engineering gave the council and visitors a presentation on the Airport Master Plan.
For the Water and Sewer Department the council approved several items:
- a quote from Hub City Roofing of fifteen thousand, eight hundred dollars to repair the floor generator building roof at the wastewater treatment plant;
- new hire Andrew Severy;
- a step increase for Nathan Shillingstad;
- bids for the wastewater treatment plant equipment procurement, which are $282,550 for a rotary press and $43,900 for a screw bulk material conveyor;
- a pay request to Preload on the water storage tank project for work on the dome and pre-stressing;
and a change order to Muth Electric, increasing the contract by $645.00 for a submersible transmitter in the decant lift station on the water treatment plant project.
For the Police Department the council approved a step increase for dispatcher Katelyn Keller, and new dispatcher hire Kiara Schmeichel.
For the Finance Department the council had several items to approve:
- the Front Footage Resolution with a sixty cent front foot assessment;
- the Assessment Roll Resolution for Destruction of Nuisance and Weeds;
- new hire Mark Sandquist in the Street Department;
- a step increase for Brad Iron in street department maintenance;
- the return of a $500 deposit to XL Homes, who moved a home on the City streets;
- and a public hearing was held and approval given for a temporary liquor license for the Pink Ladies’ dart tournament on December 6th.
Under Discussion and Information Items the council heard about events at the Library with a reminder to check the library’s website and Facebook page for more details on upcoming events.
And Mobridge Mayor Gene Cox had a reminder for everyone regarding cemetery clean-up.
