The Stanley County School District is participating in Red Ribbon Week this week (Oct. 27–30, 2025).
School Counselor Nichole Hahn says throughout the week, students will engage in discussions focused on making healthy choices and activities such as themed dress up days.
Hahn says some of the classrooms are studying drug prevention curriculum.
Hahn says the school is also doing a “Miles of Quarters” campaign this week.
Hahn says conversations with youth about drug use and drug prevention don’t stop at the doors of the school, so community members are invited to participate in Red Ribbon Week activities as well.
Hahn says community members are also invited to submit pictures of themselves wearing red to the SC School District Facebook page.
Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s largest drug prevention campaign. Nationally, it’s celebrated Oct. 23-31, 2025.
