The state school board organization has recognized the Stanley County School Board for their board work during the 2024-25 school year.
The Stanley County School Board earned a Gold Level award– the highest possible honor– for their participation in the Associated School Boards of South Dakota’s board recognition program. Act, Learn, Lead– or ALL– honors the work of school boards who strive to enhance their knowledge base for effectively serving students.
Associated School Boards Executive Director Heath Larson said by participating in ASBSD activities, training opportunities and demonstrating leadership at the local, state and national level, school boards accumulate points throughout the school year. To earn the Gold Level award, the Stanley County School District School Board accumulated 500 or more points under the ALL program.
Larson said the Stanley County School Board worked tirelessly during the 2024-25 school year for their local district. He said their work will benefit the students, staff and community.
This is the ninth year of the program and 82 public school boards earned an ALL award. That’s the second most in the history of the program.
ASBSD is a private, non-profit association representing the 850 South Dakota school board members, the 147 schools they govern and the students they serve.
