The South Dakota State Fair is excited to announce that it will host the 21st Annual Vintage Snowmobile National Championship Show and Swap on August 7-9, 2026, in the Nordby Exhibit Hall.
This event offers the public an opportunity to view antique and vintage snowmobiles; while also providing builders and restorers a venue to display the snowmobiles they have spent countless hours restoring. Snowmobiles from the 1970s to present day will be on display throughout the event.
“We are honored to welcome the Vintage National Snowmobile Championship Show and Swap to the South Dakota State Fairgrounds for the first time,” said Peggy Besch, South Dakota State Fairgrounds Manager. “This is a unique opportunity for the public to experience the history and craftsmanship of vintage snowmobiles.”
Longtime vintage snowmobile enthusiasts, Calvin and Linda Moser, have organized their own show and swap in Milbank, South Dakota for nearly three decades. When invited by the editor of the Vintage Snowmobile Club of America magazine to host the national show in South Dakota for the first time, they were quick to say yes.
“What a great opportunity,” said the Mosers. “Huron and the South Dakota State Fairgrounds is the most central and geographical area to host the event.”
