Pierre senior McKenzi Flottmeyer signed with the University of Jamestown Thursday to continue her softball career at the collegiate level. Flottmeyer has earned a reputation as a power pitcher for the Pierre Governor softball team, as well as in the summer Junior Olympic league and fall club team. She also pitched competitively this past summer for the SD Boom tournament team out of Sioux Falls. Flottmeyer will join a Jimmies squad that finished 36-17 last spring, including a 16-4 mark in the North Star Athletic Association, winning both conference regular season and postseason tournament titles. She is the daughter of Justin and Melissa Flottmeyer of Pierre.
