Jurian Dixon scored 13 points as UC Irvine took down South Dakota State 64-52 on Wednesday evening during the Cancun Challenge.
Andre Henry also scored 11 points for the Anteaters (4-4). Kyle Evans tallied 10 points.
Trey Buchanan finished with 12 points and two steals for the Jackrabbits (4-4). Jaden Jackson and Joe Sayler added eight points apiece for South Dakota State.
South Dakota State will take on Northern Arizona next Wednesday at 7:00 PM CT.
On the women’s side, the Lady Jacks welcome in the twelfth-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels. SDSU is no stranger to facing off with big ACC opponents, recently the Jacks hosted a high-seeded Duke team.
SDSU looks to keep their undefeated season alive at 5-0, the Tar Heels sit at 5-1 with their only loss coming to a #3 ranked UCLA team a few weeks ago.
