The Lady Coyotes improved to 8-1 after their 75-51 win over Portland State Wednesday night. The Vikings took an early lead in the first quarter leading by just one, but the second quarter was all USD as they outscored the Vikings 22-5 and took control of the game.
Angelina Robles led USD in scoring with another great performance, scoring 24 points along with 5 rebounds. The Lady Coyotes will take the floor again on Saturday taking on Eastern Washington at 1 PM.
In the men’s game, Terri Miller Jr. scored 26 points and pulled down 11 rebounds as Portland State beat South Dakota 77-71.
Keyon Kensie tallied 22 points and added 10 rebounds for the Vikings who improved to 5-2 with the win. Jaylin Henderson finished with 11 points.
Isaac Bruns led the Coyotes (5-4) with 28 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Cameron Fens added 15 points, six rebounds, two steals and two blocks for South Dakota. Uzziah Buntyn finished with 11 points and two steals.
