Sunday and Monday (Dec. 7-8, 2025), 625 FFA members from across South Dakota will face off for the State FFA Championship Leadership Development Events (LDEs), in Box Elder.
Students qualified through district competitions, squaring off against other talented FFA members to earn their spots at state in Ag Broadcasting/Journalism, Ag Communications, Ag Issues, Ag Sales, Conduct of Chapter Meetings, Creed Speaking, Employment Interview Skills, Extemporaneous Public Speaking, Marketing Plan, Parliamentary Procedure, and Prepared Public Speaking. State-winners will advance to the National FFA Leadership Development Events in Indianapolis next fall.
While waiting for competitive events, students can interact with agriculture industry leaders at the Career Expo, network with fellow future leaders, and participate in a workshop hosted by SD School of Mines. FFA members and chapters will be recognized for their success in 11 leadership areas at the awards ceremony, Monday at 12:45pm.
