Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services Marketplace releases 2026 Open Enrollment period report

The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services reports that nearly 950,000 new consumers have signed up for Marketplace coverage for 2026 since Open Enrollment began on November 1, 2025.

In addition, over 4.8 million returning consumers have actively renewed their coverage, bringing total plan selections to 5.76 million across all Marketplaces. HealthCare.gov states account for the majority of enrollments (4.6 million), while State-based Exchanges (SBEs) report 1.15 million selections.
