The search for the Pink Ace came to a thrilling conclusion at Al’s Oasis during the live drawing on February 26, 2026, as a South Dakota woman revealed the winning card and secured a life-changing prize while also generating significant support for local cancer patients.
Sharon Marie Dvoracek, formerly of Wagner, selected card #26 and revealed the Pink Ace of Hearts, winning the grand prize of $104,731.25. In a remarkable stroke of luck, Dvoracek had only purchased tickets twice throughout the entire contest before drawing the winning card.
The excitement of the night extended far beyond the jackpot. A matching $104,731.25 will be donated through Team Buche Cares to help local cancer patients in the communities the organization serves, providing support to neighbors facing some of life’s most difficult challenges.
The drawing grew in excitement week after week as the prize pot climbed, drawing participants and supporters from across the region. What started as a fun weekly event ultimately turned into a powerful example of community generosity.
“We are absolutely thrilled for Sharon Marie,” said RF Buche, founder of Team Buche Cares. “It’s stories like hers—someone who only bought tickets twice and walked away with a life-changing win—that make these events so special. But the real impact is what this means for our neighbors. Through Team Buche Cares, the matching funds will go directly toward helping cancer patients in the communities we serve. This is exactly why we started this effort—to take care of our own and show what happens when a community truly shows up for one another.”
