Pierre Track & Field Ruth Markse Invitational results

Earlier today, the Pierre track & field teams participated in the Ruth Marske Invitational. The meet included 30 total teams, 9 South Dakota AA teams, and several high-quality teams from Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska. The Govs represented well having many top 10 finishes, a 2-time event champion and meet record breaker thanks to Charlee Williams-Smith. Below are the top 10 finishes from the boys and girls today’s meet:

GIRLS

200 m dash: Charlee Williams-Smith – 1^st (25.53) and Emlyn Swanson à 8^th (27.02)

400 m dash: Charlee Williams- Smith – 1^st (56.56) and NEW MEET RECORD

1600 m run: Emery Larson – 3^rd (5:21.15) and Devyn Van Roekel à 9^th (5:32.81)

Long Jump: Emlyn Swanson – 6^th (15’04.75”)

Triple Jump: Peyton Dillman – 6^th (32’07.50”)

Shot Put: Sorrine Ekle – 7^th (36’02.25”)
