April 7, 2026: Time to prepare for severe weather in South Dakota
April 13-17, 2026, is Severe Weather Preparedness Week in South Dakota and Minnesota. Kelly Serr is the Warning Coordination Meteorologist for the National Weather Service in South Dakota. In this episode of Agriculture In-depth, she encourages people to think about personal safety plans and to prepare for any situation, regardless of if they are at school, work, outdoors or on the road.
Each day during Severe Weather Preparedness Week has a specific theme to encourage people to focus their preparation and planning efforts. This year’s themes are:
