Non-profit organizations in Pierre and Fort Pierre have through May 10, 2026, to apply for grant dollars from the Pierre-Fort Pierre Community Foundation or the Youth Philanthropy Fund.
Foundation Advisory Council President Matthew Brakke says both grants use the same application form to apply.
Brakke says they have a limited amount of dollars to distribute so grant applications should be limited to a maximum of $5,000.
Brakke says in the past, the Advisory Councils have awarded partial grants for larger requests, so applicants should indicate whether or not a partial award is acceptable. He says the Pierre-Fort Pierre Community Foundation will consider both youth and adult activities/programs, while the Youth Philanthropy Fund is restricted to youth activities/programs.
Brakke says submission of electronic grant applications is preferred. Changes were made to the form so applicants don’t have to physically sign it, but they should attach any supporting documentation to the email.
Applications should be submitted by 11:59 PM on May 10, 2026:
