Two teams from Balance Studio in Chamberlain won national titles on April 2 in the Varsity US Finals Cheer & Dance Competition in Kansas City, Missouri.
The junior team, consisting of performers ages 9-13, won the Level 1 junior prep division. The senior team, consisting of those ages 13-17, won the Level 2 senior prep division.
These kids are from areas around and including Chamberlain, Kimball and Lyman County who compete across the Midwest.
Balance Studio’s senior team is called the Riptides and includes Keeleigh Reis-Elwood, Melaya Dominguez, Jovie VanDenBosch, Danika Goodman, Ella Ehlers, Jade Ristau, Evelyn Bunker, Hannah Reidt, Oakleigh Reis-Elwood, Aine Grasser, Elsie Thoman, Alexandra Schemidt and Allayna Brown.
The junior team is known as the River Rush and consists of Lyza Chmela, Jade Ristau, Avery Lockwood, Evelyn Bunker, Alivia Menzel, Oakleigh Reis-Elwood, Harper Sinkie, Ember White Buffalo, Cully Assman and Haydence Cedarface.
