A minimum-custody state prison inmate who was placed on escape status this week is back in custody.
Inmate Noah Schuler was apprehended by law enforcement in Sioux Falls May 5, 2022. Schuler left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center May 3 without authorization.
Leaving a community work center without authorization constitutes second-degree escape, a Class 5 felony punishable by up to five years in prison.

A minimum-custody state prison inmate has been placed on escape status.
Noah Schuler left the Sioux Falls Community Work Center May 3, 2022, without authorization. Schuler, age 22, is a white male. He is 5-feet-11 inches tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds.
Schuler is serving sentences from Codington County for unauthorized ingestion of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in jail.
