Fort Pierre Tourism kicks off the 2022 First Thursday event series today (June 2, 2022) at Fischers Lilly Park.
Arielle McRoberts with Fort Pierre Tourism says the fun happens from 5:30pm-8pm CST.
Picnic tables will be available, but attendees may want to bring a lawn chair to ensure they have seating. Other First Thursday events will be held in Fort Pierre July 7, August 4, September 1 and October 6. Details are available on the First Thursdays Facebook page.
The Dirty Boot Band will play music beginning at 5:30pm. Support Paws Animal Rescue by grabbing a “woof” beer float and Indian taco with all of the fixings. Your free will donation helps Paws rescue cats and dogs in our community. The Legion will also be offering ice cold alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for your enjoyment.
After you and your family are nice and full, peruse the vendors including Maier Meats, LaVonne’s Treasures, Missouri River Coffee Company, Wilde Prarie Rose Boutique, Michelle Maupin Barrett Photography, JusyMulungi Cosmetics, LLC, and Arieyl CBD Health and Wellness. In addition, stop by Dakota Wesleyan University’s booth to hear more about the Learn and Earn Program, and don’t miss the kids’ activities at the South Dakota Discovery Center booth, as well as The Right Turn’s booth.
If you are interested in playing live music, selling your wares, setting up an information booth, offering a kids’ activity, or just want more information about the Fort Pierre First Thursday event series, call 605-412-8549 or email Arielle.McRoberts@maxwellstrat.com.
