Oahe Downstream Recreation Area temporarily closed to cleanup storm damage

The Oahe Downstream Recreation Area at Pierre and Fort Pierre is closed today and tomorrow (June 21-22, 2022) to cleanup storm damage.

South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks says last night’s severe windstorm caused significant tree damage to the park. GFP asks visitors to please stay out of the Oahe Downstream Recreation Area so staff have plenty of room to work.
