For the past 85 years, you could go to the store and buy Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. But later this summer, that won’t be the case. It has nothing to do with supply chain issues or anything like that. They’re just changing the name . . . to “Kraft Mac & Cheese.”
Why? Well, they say they’re trying to hype the product as “comfort food.” And they’re probably looking to freshen it up a little too, so they can appeal to younger generations. Kraft also says “Mac & Cheese” is meant to “reflect the way fans organically talk about the brand.” Along with the new name, they’re updating the logo, and the color of the box will be tweaked to “amplify . . . the noodle smile.”
The new boxes will start hitting shelves in August.
