Yesterday (Tues.), South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem announced her plan for getting the state “Back to Normal” after the cornavirus disrupted how we go about daily life.
The plan outlines guidance for a handful of groups including local governments. The mayors of both Fort Pierre and Pierre have been working together to keep requirements the same in each town so there’s no confusion as to what’s allowed where.
Pierre mayor Steve Harding asked residents to continue following CDC guidelines.
Harding encouraged Pierre businesses to look over the governor’s plan and operate however they deem appropriate.
Fort Pierre mayor Gloria Hanson says the towns are doing what they can to ensure the safety of residents, but people also need to be responsible.
Gov. Noem’s Back to Normal plan also laid out guidance for individuals, employers, schools and health care providers. Find all the details at covid.sd.gov.
