Pierre street closure: Elizabeth Street

Elizabeth Street in Pierre, between Maple and Capitol Avenues, is closed to through traffic today (July 11, 2022) for underground utility work, weather permitting.

The City is installing a new water main at that site. That section of street is expected to open with a temporary surface next Monday (July 18). Until then, through traffic should detour around the area. Access for local traffic only will be maintained throughout the construction project.
