It’s time again for another round Feel Good Friday Stories!
1. A police officer in Tennessee named Lance Hofmeister helped an 84-year-old woman get to her hair appointment. Her saw her walking alone along the highway with her walker, and decided to check on her. She said she had taken a bus, and was trying to make it to a hair appointment, which was still a MILE up the road. He offered to give her a lift, and they chatted along the way. She got to the appointment in time to get her perm, and video of the cop’s good deed went viral on TikTok. (Here’s Lance talking about it.)
2. Two 60-year-old friends in the U.K. have gotten together every five years for the past 50 years . . . since they were 10 . . . to take photos together in a photo booth. They just took the ones for the 50th anniversary.

5. Residents of a Savannah, Tennessee, home contacted authorities about a puppy that had gotten its head stuck in a discarded truck tire. They had seen the Labrador puppy and its siblings wandering around on their property when they noticed the distressed pup. Firefighters who rescued the puppy wrote on Facebook, “Well, we had a first this morning. The puppy is fine after removing her from the wheel. This definitely gets filed in the ‘puppies do the darndest things’ category.” The homeowner is now fostering the puppy and its siblings.
6. There’s video of a Ukrainian soldier hiding in a huge box so that he can surprise his young daughter, who he hadn’t seen in three months. When she opens the box and sees him, she yells, “Oh, Mama Mia!”

The owner then called 911 after not being able to coax Dylan into crawling back out of the pipe. Police, firefighters, public work employees, utility workers and other groups all came out to help. Chiseling at the pipe finally coaxed Dylan into walking close enough to the pipe entrance to be ensnared. The dog is now recovering from his ordeal at the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital.
9. A retired Airborne Ranger went out kayaking in Florida last month to fish and clear his head, but he got into trouble when his kayak started taking on water . . . three-and-a-half hours away from shore.
