A federal judge has sentenced a 30-year-old man from Pierre convicted of Assaulting, Resisting and Impeding a Federal Officer.
Loren Goodlow must spend 6 months in federal prison, followed by 6 months of home confinement and 3 years of supervised release.
The conviction stemmed from an incident in Lower Brule in August 2018 after Goodlow was arrested on tribal charges. During the booking process, Goodlow struck a correctional officer.
Goodlow was immediately turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
