NOVEMBER 11, 2022:
A half-dozen Vietnam and Vietnam Era veterans were honored last week (Nov. 4, 2022) during a ceremony in Mobridge.
South Dakota US Representative Dusty Johnson says this recognition of service for their country is long over due.
Johnson thinks the veterans and their families appreciate the events.
Those honored last week were:

Paul Keller– Paul served in the Navy.

Bob Knecht– Bob served in the Army from 1967 to 1972. He flew on aircraft in Vietnam in 1969.

Lester Kosters– Lester served in the Army from 1968 to 1970.

Eugene Quaschnick– Eugene served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1987 as an Administrative Supervisor.

POSTHUMOUS Bernie Quaschnick– Bernie served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1978 as a Flight Instrument Repairman. He passed away in 2018. Accepting this pin posthumously is his brother Eugene.

Dennis Quashnick– Dennis served in the Army.
NOVEMBER 2, 2022:
A Vietnam Veteran Pinning Ceremony will be held tomorrow (Nov. 3, 2022) in Eagle Butte.
South Dakota US Representative Dusty Johnson will host the ceremony at 11am MT at Veterans Memorial Park.
Another ceremony will be held Friday in Mobridge. That event will start at 10am CT at the American Legion Post 4 (120 Main Street).
The public is welcome to attend both events.
