ST. LOUIS – South Dakota State, the league champion, dominated the 2022 Missouri Valley Football Conference All-Conference team, announced Monday.
The Jackrabbits have eight first team All-Conference players, four on the second team and four honorable mention selections.
One of the first team players from the Jackrabbits is junior tight end Tucker Kraft of Timber Lake, who recently announced his intention to enter the 2023 NFL Draft. Kraft has 19 catches this season despite missing six games with an ankle ligament injury.
SDSU Head Coach John Stiegelmeier, the Selby native, was named as the conference Coach of the Year. The Jackrabbits went 8-0 in league play and are 10-1 before their second round FCS playoff game against Delaware on Saturday in Brookings.
For South Dakota, two players were named first-team All-Conference, with four on the second team and four more selected as honorable mentions.
