SAN ANTONIO – Pierre and South Dakota know it, Ohio State has just learned it, and now the nation knows it: Lincoln Kienholz is quite a quarterback.
Kienholz excelled Saturday at the All-American Bowl, the high-school All-Star game at the Alamodome, by throwing two touchdown passes for the West team in its 55-17 loss to the East.
One of Kienholz’s two touchdowns came after a typical scramble out of trouble, then a strike for a 43-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter. He then provided the game’s last touchdown on a 38-yard scoring strike in the fourth quarter.
Kienholz, who signed a national letter of intent with Ohio State in December, was 5-of-10 for 107 yards passing and the two touchdowns and also rushed once for five yards.
