Fort Pierre had a good year for business development in 2022.
Mayor Gloria Hanson says the new stores offer a variety of services.
And, Hanson says, construction work has started on the Yellow Senior Living Complex.
She says the Tatanka Trail Project got a significant boost from a federal grant.
Hanson says there was also forward progress on Fort Pierre’s wastewater and water systems.
Fort Pierre also reaped economic benefits by hosting 4-H and high school rodeos, bull riding, a ranch rodeo, horse races and the Horse Nations Indian Relay 2022 Championship of Champions at the Stanley County Fairgrounds.
