Alice Jones. 88, of Brandon, passed away December 30, 2022. Funeral service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday January 21, 2023 at Feigum Funeral Home in Pierre, followed by a graveside service at Scotty Philip Cemetery.

Alice Jo (Kirley) Jones was born December 6, 1934 to Charles and Mabel Kirley in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. She graduated from Stanley County high school in Fort Pierre. She married S. Sgt. Robert Schink on July 10, 1954. They had two daughters Deborah and Robin. Alice and Robert divorced in 1962.

She married Walter Jones on August 22, 1969 bringing along his two sons Scott and Tim Jones. The family moved to Haakon County and resided there until 1973 when they moved to Dell Rapids, South Dakota. In 2014 Alice and Walter moved to an assisted living facility and stayed there until health issues intervened and moved to Bethany homes.

Those who shared Alice’s life are daughters Deb (Larry) Miles of Alcester, South Dakota and Robin (Bruce) Even of Pierre, South Dakota; step sons Scott (Lynn) Jones of New Holstein, Wisconsin and Tim (Nancy) Jones of Tracy, Minnesota; grandchildren Trevor (Ashley) Even, Alicyn Even, Bill Jones, Zach Jones, Danielle (Nick) Kaum; great grandchildren Alexus and Bently Even, Haakon and Soren Kvam. She will be missed by many family members and friends.

Those that preceded her in death were husband Jim, son-in-law Larry, daughter-in-law Lynn, all her siblings and their spouses and her parents.
