Tatonka Eagle Horse was born November 26, 1988 in Chamberlain, SD to Diane (Lott) and Dennis Eagle Horse.  Tatonka came into this world happy and full of life beside his twin brother TaCha Eagle Horse.  Both sharing life together never too far from each other.  Tatonka was raised traditional and had many talents.

His favorite hobbies were in arts and crafts.  He loved making dream catchers and playing his traditional flutes.

He had a deep love for his family and friends.  He loved watching movies with his favorite film being Deadpool.

In October 2015, Tatonka was diagnosed with cancer that he battled for two years and was in remission until recently when it returned.

Tatonka participated in many dance performances at 150 Year Celebration at Kerrville, TX, Old Nite in Sante Fe at Wimberly, TX, Old Calvary Museum at San Antonio, TX, Gene Autry 99^th Birthday Festival at Parker, TX, Enchanted Springs Ranch at Boerne, TX, Texas State University at San Marcus, TX, and many other pow-wows around the west.

Tatonka passed away on January 2, 2023 at home in Lower Brule, SD at the age of 34 years. Sharing his life are his father Dennis Eagle Horse; his twin TaCha Eagle Horse; his siblings Milton, Alta, Waylon, Julia, Mary, Noah, Tyson, and Terrance Grassrope, Mato Luta Eagle Horse and Sunkmanitu Eagle Horse; and many other relatives and friends.

Welcoming him to the Spirit World are his mother Diane Eagle Horse and his biological mother Violet Andrews.
