National Association of State Departments of Agriculture CEO Ted McKinney joined fellow Food and Agriculture Climate Alliance members in highlighting FACA’s 2023 Farm Bill Policy Recommendations, and released the following statement:
“The 2023 Farm Bill is agriculture’s opportunity to address one of the biggest challenges of our time – producing enough nutritious food to meet the demands of our growing global population while increasing natural resource conservation and climate mitigation efforts.
NASDA is proud to have participated in the development of the FACA farm bill recommendations, and we look forward to working with members of Congress and discussing how FACA’s farm bill recommendations impact the farmers, ranchers, state departments of agriculture and local communities across the nation that NASDA members serve.
Bringing together the viewpoints of agriculturalists, environmentalists, forest owners and government, the FACA farm bill recommendations chart a clear pathway to support U.S. farmers and ranchers in our shared mission to produce food, fuel and fiber for everyone.”
