All layers in South Dakota during July 2023 totaled 1.51 million, down from 1.82 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
South Dakota egg production during July totaled 38.4 million eggs, down from 46.5 million in 2022. July egg production per 100 layers was 2,543 eggs, compared to 2,558 eggs in 2022.
JULY 25, 2023:
All layers in South Dakota during June 2023 totaled 1.49 million, down from 1.91 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
South Dakota egg production during June totaled 37.1 million eggs, down from 47.6 million in 2022. June egg production per 100 layers was 2,485 eggs, compared to 2,490 eggs in 2022.

All layers in South Dakota during May 2023 totaled 1.56 million, down from 1.95 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
South Dakota egg production during May totaled 37.8 million eggs, down from 51.8 million in 2022. May egg production per 100 layers was 2,431 eggs, compared to 2,656 eggs in 2022.
MARCH 28, 2023:
All layers in South Dakota during February 2023 totaled 1.50 million, down from 1.88 million the previous year, according to the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service.
South Dakota egg production during February totaled 35.6 million eggs, down from 46.4 million in 2022. February egg production per 100 layers was 2,370 eggs, compared to 2,463 eggs in 2022.
