As is normal at the end of a school year, the Pierre School District will see some changes in administrators at TF Riggs High School and Buchanan Elementary School.
After 17 years in Pierre, Rob Coverdale has accepted a position as the new Superintendent at Crow Creek Tribal Schools. He spent six years as Principal of the McKinley/Washington Elementary Schools and has spent the last 11 years as an assistant principal at TF Riggs High School.
Buchanan Elementary Principal Ryan Noyes will be replacing Coverdale at Riggs. He taught Science at Georgia Morse Middle School for 14 years before taking his first administrative job as Lyman County elementary principal for two years. Noyes returned to Pierre in 2015 and has served as the principal for Buchanan since then.
Superintendent Dr. Kelly Glodt says they are fortunate to have quality administrators in the Pierre School District to help lead the dedicated team of teachers and support staff.
